Dr. Francesco Travascio is an Associate Professor in the departments of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering and Orthopaedics at the Miller School of Medicine.
He also serves as the Associate Director of the Max Biedermann Institute of Biomechanics at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
He received his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Engineering the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2004. He also holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (University of Miami, 2009).
His research interests encompass various areas, including Biomechanics, Orthopaedics, Robot-Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery, Musculoskeletal Modeling, Biomedical Imaging, and Biotransport.
